iPod Touch 4 to Emulate iPhone 4 Features: 720p HD Video Recording, 3.2 MP ( not 5MP Camera) with Flash and Facetime

The next 4th gen iPod Touch will get a major overhaul and is said to include groundbreaking features – 720p HD Video Recording, a 3.2 MP Camera(and not the rumored 5 MP) and FaceTime calling over WiFi just like in iPhone 4. UK retailer John Lewis is claiming that the upcoming iPod Touch refresh will also feature an accelerometer and gyroscope which will add gaming credential to the media player.Some sources also add that new iPod touch will have a 3.2 megapixel camera that has similar characteristics to the one found in the iPhone 3GS.

Earlier in May we saw the leaked next iPod Touch 4G 64GB Model with a 2-megapixel camera and backside illuminated sensor (OV2665-6s)  from Vietnam manufactured by Omnivision. The claim by john Lewis looks legitimate and fits well with the leaked images.The iPod touch 1G to iPod touch 2G can be compared to the original iPhone to iPhone 3G design change. The iPhone 3G got a curved back and so did the second generation iPod touch. The iPhone 3GS looked the same as the iPhone 3G and the iPod touch 3rd generation looks the same as the second generation. If part history would repeat itself, the 4th iPod touch would follow the same design elements brought to the iPhone 4.But still the veracity of these features of iPod Touch 4 / 4G cannot be ascertained to carry in actual retail model which is slated to be presented in September this year.

Nexus one supports 720p HD video

Similar to iPhone 4 HD, Nexus one can also be made to play 720p HD video thanks to the mods and rooting and it comes from  none other than Xda developers.Xda developer’s user CharnSingh has unveiled a mod/update that lets you give the ability to  get 720p HD the video recording.You’ll need to have at least CyanogenMod version 5.0.8test3, but once you get your house in order, you’ll be enjoying one of the big touted features of the latest handsets on your five-month old Googlephone. Pretty neat, and what’s even better is that work is already underway to improve audio and the fps rate, as well as making the code compatible with Android Froyo, it all just requires a bit more tinkering. iPhone 4 does 720P@ 30 fps HD video

As you might know the  new iPhone 4 HD has a illuminated 5 megapixel sensor at the iPhone rear, equipped with an LED flash and 720p / 30fps video recording. Tap to focus will also be rolled out in the iPhone Quattro, and Steve Jobs is keen to impress on us all that although the megapixel count has grown, the quality of images has apparently improved. That’s what they all say. The added functionality of iMovie won’t come for free, however, with Apple asking a $4.99 tithe for granting access to its more sophisticated video editing options. This is moving things along, to be sure, but why is the upper limit of storage still 32GB? That would be so less i think. A more generous apportionment of memory would’ve gone very nicely indeed with that HD video mode.Check out some screen shots of the same.

HTC HD3 pics and specs sheet leaked

A leaked impressive spec sheet, complete with photos, of the fabled HTC HD3 has been posted by Knowyourmobile thanks to mobilmentalism.com.While the stats are hard to believe, (Frontward facing camera for video chat in HD…Woah ! Is this a dream ?) the pictures look incredible! This would be one killer handset, to be sure, but will HTC deliver on this dream ?

  • 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
  • 1080p HD video playback
  • 720p HD video recording

  • 4G connectivity for blisteringly fast downloads that are over ten times as fast as today’s HSDPA phones

  • HDMI output for connecting to your HDTV or monitor
  • 1800mAh battery for super-long battery life
  • Bigger screen than the HD2, but a smaller overall physical size: 115mm x 65mm x 10mm
  • As yet, there’s no release date for the HTC HD3.

This seems like a pretty tall order, even for HTC to fill. However, if supply and demand has anything to say about it, there will certainly be demand for this phone.With killer specs all HTC has to do now is come up with a supply for more orders. I am sure a queue would be for the pre-order.

The famous US-based mobile carrier, Verizon Wireless has released the highly-anticipated Microsoft KIN Windows phone for its customers who wanna bring their social networking and sharing experience to a next level. Both Microsoft KIN One and KIN Two social network oriented smartphones come equipped with a slide-out full QWERTY keyboard and a clear, bright touchscreen display.Basically this smartphone from Microsoft has been targeted for a younger generation.Some of the key features of Kin phones are listed below.

iPhone 3GS to hit the market tommorow in India

The country’s largest mobile operator calculated based on the subscriber base Bharti Airtel on Wednesday said that it would sell Apple’s iPhone 3GS in the country from March 26th.The handset will be priced at 35,500 INR for the 16Gb model and 41,500 INR for the 32 GB variant.Additionally if you want the 8 GB version of it this comes with a price tag of 29,500 INR.Equipped with a longer battery life, the handset comes with a 3 MP autofocus camera which allows video recording and hands free free voice control.Appl’s app store provides access to more than 1.5 lakh apps across games, social networking , financial planning and heath management.iPhone is available in more than 80 countries around the whole world.

Airtel now has an iPhone 3GS website up too. Like the 3G, the 3GS too will be locked to Airtel. You can use any other existing Airtel  SIM cards though. The phone is already available in India through the grey market at ridiculous prices.

Previously there were rumors that it would be released in August or September 19th to be precise but it was delayed.But finally today it would be launched in India on the best network in India i .e Airtel.Those of the users in India who wish to buy from the United states and get it shipped to your place gimme me a contact on my mail and i ll give you a price quote on how much it would be to ship it to your place.
