VistaSwitcher – Alt Tab alternative

Today i just found this wonderful app which gives you a awesome GUI interface for Alt + tab alternative.The software name is Vista switcher.VistaSwitcher is an elegant and powerful task management utility for Windows OS. Once installed, it replaces the default Windows Alt-Tab dialog with a nice box that shows a list of all running tasks with their names and preview snapshots and enables the user to take actions on them using the mouse and keyboard shortcuts.

With just one click, you can switch to a task, minimize, maximize, restore the main window or close the process.Check out the screen shot how it looks.It displays the list of processes running but in a sleek cool fashion.The program integrates into Windows natively and runs without any compatibility issues.

How do you use :

Download the program and install it.

Once done Start VistaSwitcher, press Alt+Tab to show the list of all open windows on the desktop, press Ctrl+Alt+Tab to show the list of windows of the foreground application.

You can go through the tasks by holding the Alt key down and pressing Tab, or pressing the Up and Down Arrow keys, or moving the mouse pointer up or down the list. As you do so, the snapshot preview changes to the currently selected task. To switch to the task, click it with the mouse or release the Alt key.

Right-click the VistaSwitcher tray icon to access the program menu and settings.

Its available for both 32 and 64 bit and runs on Windows XP/Vista and 7.

Unlock iPhone 3GS 3.1 with Ultrasn0w

Recently i had posted about how to download Pwnage Tool 3.1.3 for iPhone 3GS and iPod 2G which allows you to jailbreak your 3 GS 3.1 OS and also ipod touch 2g 3.1 firmware.But the problem with that was, it was only working for Mac OS and Windows users couldn’t jailbreak.But in case you find a custom iphone 3G ipsw then you could jailbreak iphone 3gs 3.1.Here is a quick workaround how to unlock iPhone 3GS 3.1 OS with ultrasn0w.

Golden Rule to remember:

You must first jailbreak iPhone 3GS first with pwnagetool 3.1.3 and then go for a unlock using this method.

Steps to Unlock iPhone 3GS 3.1.3 OS with Ultrasn0w

First step is to install Cydia when you jailbreak iPhone 3GS 3.1.
Next Launch Cydia/ Icy.
Select ‘Manage’ Tab at the bottom of screen and go to ‘Sources.
Press edit button and Add following Repo URL
http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com/
Once the source has been added press the large ‘Return to Cydia’ button.
Go to repo666.ultrasn0w.com from the list of user entered sources and select ‘Ultrasn0w’ from list.
Go to repo666.ultrasn0w.com from the list of user entered sources and select ‘Ultrasn0w’ from list.
Now press the Home button then power off and power on the iPhone. You do this by holding down the power button for 3 seconds then moving the power slider that appears to the right. Press the power button again to turn on the phone.
Done,Now insert SIM card of your choice.

Go ahead and unlock your iPhone 3G S now.

I had posted about Google Chrome 3 Beta which is a new version of its WebKit-based open source Web browser and how to get the offline installer for it, now Google Chrome browser have updated and come out of Beta.Many improvements have been made to browser, including the boast that it is now 25 per cent faster than before.That means to say that it’s 1.5 times faster than the previous first version of Chrome.It also includes a theme system, improvements to the Omnibox, and a redesigned New Tab page.There’s been 3,505 bug fixes in the last year – visual tweaks include a neater version of the browsers tabs.

According to Google, the performance of the browser’s V8 JavaScript engine has increased by over 150 percent since the original version of Chrome was released. Thanks to Google’s aggressive performance optimizations, V8 has zoomed past Mozilla’s Trace Monkey JavaScript engine.It was real fast for me.The new theme system allows users to customize the browser’s look and feel. A number of new styles are available for users to install from the Chrome theme gallery. The new start page allows users to pin or remove the recent page thumbnails. Chrome 3 also shines in the area of emerging standards as it brings support for several key HTML5 features such as the Video element.
