Apple unveils iPhone HD now live

Steve Jobs unveiled the iPhone 4 officially.He must be tired of all the rumors and leaks who cares once its live now the real.But none of that really matters anymore. The iPhone 4 is here and is actually the thinnest smartphone ever.Has a front camera too and comes with a another camera on the back with led flash.This looks like its has glass front and end panels.As i had said before its used IPS technology.This will be released with the newly renamed iOS 4 on June 24th in the US, France, Germany, United Kingdom, and Japan. 18 other countries including Canada will be added in July, with 40 more by the end of September.

HTC EVO 4G now available

As announced previously by Sprint the HTC EVO 4G the world’s first 3G/4G Android smartphone which default comes with Android 2.1 but it also been hacked to able to run Froyo aka Android 2.2 would be launched by June 4th and now its made available in US. Customers can purchase the device at Sprint retail stores, RadioShack(preorders were given for $50 deposit), Best Buy and Walmart,as well as through Sprint.The device costs $199.99 with a two-year service agreement and after a $100 mail-in rebate (taxes excluded).This phone kicks ass with lots of features and capable of 4G data transfer speeds, which is about 10 times faster than current 3G speeds.In case you missed the features here is a list of the a lot.

HTC HD3 pics and specs sheet leaked

A leaked impressive spec sheet, complete with photos, of the fabled HTC HD3 has been posted by Knowyourmobile thanks to mobilmentalism.com.While the stats are hard to believe, (Frontward facing camera for video chat in HD…Woah ! Is this a dream ?) the pictures look incredible! This would be one killer handset, to be sure, but will HTC deliver on this dream ?

This seems like a pretty tall order, even for HTC to fill. However, if supply and demand has anything to say about it, there will certainly be demand for this phone.With killer specs all HTC has to do now is come up with a supply for more orders. I am sure a queue would be for the pre-order.

Get HTC HD2 theme for iPhone

This is to all iPhone fans out there who wish to have a HTC HD2 theme on the iPhone.As you might know HTC HD2 is a massive, full touchscreen device which boasts impressive specs: a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, a generous 4.3-inch, 800 x 480 capacitive WVGA touchscreen display, an auto-focusing 5-megapixel camera with dual LED flash, GPS, and lots of other bells and whistles along with HTC’s totally revamped user interface, Sense, which doesn’t just hide Windows Mobile 6.5. Apart from blazing fast snapdragon processor, the device sports 512MB of ROM, 448MB of RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1,a microSD slot (supporting up to 32GB cards), a 3.5mm headphone jack, plus an accelerometer, proximity sensor, and light sensor on-board.The HD2 joins the ranks of devices like the Droid, N900, and Liquid in the new class of high-end smartphone.Rene from iPhone-Enthusiast.com has created a HTC HD2 theme for iPhone. This would be the 2nd modded version and includes changes like
  • Addition of 24hr widget that many of you guys wanted.
  • New iPod theme added.
  • Changed the home springboard icons.
  • Dock is now one color.
  • A few UI images changed.
So how to install this :
  • You’ll need iBlank and Five icon Dock installed from Cydia.First step is to create 9 black icons with iBlank (found in Cydia) and arrange icons in this order show below.You can set any 4 apps on the bottom, but the dock does require you to have your Phone, Messages, Mail, Safari, and iPod apps (Since the have smaller icons).

  • Second step will be to download the iPhone HTC HD2 2.0 from the insanelyiph0ne repo.Add http://repo.insanelyiph0ne.com to your Cydia sources. Now before you apply your theme you will have to change the Weather widgets location, otherwise your going to have Los Angeles weather.
  • To do this SSH into HTC HD2 Theme folder (var/stash/Themes) and open the private folder where you will find the “configureMe” file. Simply edit this file with notepad and change the ‘Los Angeles, California’ to your location and your done !

  • In your main HTC HD2 theme folder you will notice 2 Widgets, One is named “Widget.html” and the other is “Widget24.html”. By default the theme will use “Widget.html” which is the standard 12hr time display. If you want the 24 hour time display, simply rename the “Widget24.html” to “Widget.html”. Remember to back up your original “Widget.html” just in case you want to go back to standard 12hr.

  • Did you know that you have 3 types of weather images to use on your HTC HD2 theme? If you go to the private/iconset folder in your theme you will see an HTC, Klear, and Tick folders.

  • By default the theme will use the HTC weathers icons, but if you would like to use any other simply edit your “configureME.js” located in the private folder and replace the “HTC” with the name of the icons you would like to use. HTC, klear, or tick, just like the name appears on the folder.

Android 2.1 based T-mobile pulse mini showcased in MWC 2010

You wont be surprised by a tiny version of the T-Mobile Pulse with a 2.83 QVGA resistive display, but you would be surprised that this runs on Android 2.1.The Pulse mini is a scaled down version of the original T-Mobile Pulse that was announced in September of 2009.At present T-Mobile UK has not offered any contract plans for the Pulse Mini and  would be manufactured by Huawei.Besides HTC and HD mini a new phone with Android 2.1 was born in MWC 2010.The new T-Mobile Pulse Mini should be available in March.Some of the features is listed below.

Features of the rocking T-Mobile Pulse Mini:

  • Runs  Android 2.1
  • Smaller than the original Pulse.
  • 2.8-inches resistive(why this ?) touch screen with stylus
  • 3.2-megapixel camera with LED Flash
  • A preprocessor
  • 3.5mm head jack
  • Supports HSDPA, Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth connectivity
  • Touch screen buttons for search back and menu buttons

The T-Mobile Pulse mini has a pretty unusual home screen configuration.This phone can have up to 15 different home screens and this is all done on the stock firmware.The 15 panels are arranged in a 5 x 3 grid(something like Aero), and users can swipe from one home screen to the next by swiping up, down, left of right. Pressing down on the d-pad while on the home screen will show you all 15 in a grid so you can easily add widgets and shortcuts.

While the Pulse mini sounds pretty good on paper, Android really just doesn’t look that nice on a QVGA resolution display, and resistive display.Unlike the Nexus one which also runs on Android 2.1 this doesn’t have that 3D look in the main menu.I can appreciate that this device will hit a lower price point and still offer all of the Android 2.1 operating system’s features, though.This is shaping up to be a great addition to the Android lineup.Like the original T-Mobile Pulse, the Pulse mini is not expected to be sold by T-Mobile USA.

Nokia X6 16GB Announced, Price not sure

Nokia’s just announced a 16GB version of its crowd pleasing, capacitive touchscreen X6 to compliment the current 32GB model. As expected, the new handset offers many similarities to its sibling, including a 3.2-inch wide screen capacitive display and 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and a dual LED flash. Unfortunately, you’ll have to load tones onto the device the old fashioned way. In addition to EA’s Spore, this bad boy includes Asphalt4 and DJ Mix Tour by Gameloft and an all-new Ovi Maps (with free walk and drive navigation, Michelin and Lonely Planet guides). Available in four colors, including black, white, white with yellow highlights, and white with pink highlights. Expect to see this one roll out sometime this quarter for a price to be announced.The 32 GB costs around 700$ not sure on how much would be the price for the 16GB variant.
