Samsung Vibrant launching today

There was uncertainty about the date when Samsung Vibrant would be launched.Firstly was assumed that it would be launched on July 20th or 21st but now its launching on July 15th that is today. As you might know this is a derivative of the Galaxy S.The original Tweet seems to have disappeared into the ether apart from that screen shot below, but T-Mo has reiterated the statement in subsequent missives, telling its followers that the Vibrant will be on sale today. We imagine the typical $199.99 price point will remain unaltered, so all you’ll really need to do now is decide whether this is the Super AMOLED handset for you, or whether you can wait the extra few days until Sprint et al intro their offerings. It’s up to you to decide now and in case you wanna buy you can do that so directly from the T-mobile online store.

Exclusive pics of HTC Incredible

Pocketnow just got some pics of the upcoming Verizon HTC Incredible. This is running on Android 2.1 with HTC sense and features a superfast Snapdragon processor like the Nexus one and upcoming Liquid from Acer.It also comes with 256MB RAM, 3.5-3.7″ WVGA screen may be its AMOLED.The HTC Incredible also features a optical mouse pointer towards the bottom of the device. On the back it packs dual LED flashes. This would be the android answer to HD2 but why so less ram,  so this looks to be a lower spec device than the Bravo.Engadget Mobile is hopeful that the leaked Incredible name may be the Nexus One’s cousin on the nation’s largest carrier with Android 2.1.Not much info was known regarding the release dates and the pricing perspective.Keep checking the HTC website for more details.

Samsung set to mass produce world's first 3.3 inch WVGA AMOLED

Recently Samsung announced that it will begin mass production of its 3.3 inch WVGA (480X800) resolution AMOLED, the world’s first touch function AMOLED panel from March 2010 onwards. This is the first time that a touch sensor has been placed over an AMOLED substrate. This integrated touch function for the AMOLED panels uses the underlying principle of placing a touch-sensor (on-cell) over the mirror display and making it evaporate. The thickness of the touch sensor is just 0.001mm and this allows the screen to provide much higher quality images. Until now, touch screen products have been made by separately connecting the display and the touch panel.
