It’s been almost 6 months since the Judgement in the Trial of Apple against Samsung with Samsung being fined 1 billion US dollars,over the rights to the design and technology used in their smartphones and tablets.
But some recent development in the case,a U.S. District Court Judge Lucy Koh lowered the damages amount to around $450.5 million for 14 Samsung products,saying that the jurors haven’t properly followed her instructions while calculating the damages.
The judge has ordered a new Trial to decide what kind of actual damages fees needed for those devices.But the new trial covering the 14 Samsung devices will probably not be heard until and unless the existing appeals of the original ruling are completed,so it would take some more time to get the final revised number for the damages.
