We know that Qualcomm is coming with it’s 28nm Snapdragon Q4 which features a custom made Krait processor and will be among the first 28nm chips to come into the market. If you are not aware of what the Qualcomm MSM8960 is, then it’s a tablet which packs some serious frigging cool hardware – dual-core 1.5GHz CPU, 13-megapixel cameras on both side and Qualcomm’s beefy LTE gear inside.Someone at the company let loose first benchmarks of this Snapdragon S4-based device showing the graphical capabilities of the built-in Adreno 225 GPU.
The S4-based device appeared on NenaMark2, a graphical benchmark, and was listed as featuring a 1024 x 600 pixel screen – a resolution typical for 7-inch tablets. The device was running on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich with the Krait processor clocked at 1.5GHz.Nenamark2 on this slate which showed a score of 54.90 noticeably better than the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket(AT&T at 54.1) but with a lower resolution at 480 X 800 and Galaxy Note(32.8).Proving that is the fact that it beats the Mali-400 GPU, which is the second-best graphical performer after Apple’s PowerVR SGX543MP2 in the A5 chip. This may be tiny winy less than upcoming Tegra 3.
