Bloomberg reporting iPad 3 would feature Quad Core, LTE

We have seen lots of rumors about iPad3 one of them is that it would come improved A6 processor and also the retina display but Bloomberg is reporting that Apple’s next iPad,  is expected to go on sale in March(not on Feb 24th on Steve’s Jobs birthday), will sport a high-definition screen, run a faster processor and work with next-generation wireless networks.Production has been ramped up in the manufacturing partners in Asia as is expected to reach full volumes. The tablet will use a quad-core chip, an enhancement that lets users jump more quickly between applications, two of the people said.

Tim Cook wants to beat out the competition coming from many of the Android tablets and with Asus Prime being a quad core it might not iPad 3 to be left behind. The Cupertino, California-based company has been working on making the iPad compatible with a wireless standard called long- term evolution, or LTE, said one of the people. Carriers such as Verizon Wireless and ATT Inc. are rolling out LTE networks to give users faster access to data. Apple is bringing LTE to the iPad before the iPhone because the tablet has a bigger battery and can better support the power requirements of the newer technology, said one of the people.

Coming to the display part again this new display is capable of greater resolution than the current iPad, with more pixels on its screen the person said. The pixels are small enough to make the images look like printed material, according to the person. Videos begin playing almost instantly because of the additional graphics processing, the person said.

The new iPad is being assembled by Apple’s main manufacturing partner, Foxconn Technology Group and we know how the Foxconn workers are being treated and the story behind it.Like most technology companies, Apple contracts with companies in Asia for labor to assemble its devices. Foxconn, which also builds the iPhone and other Apple products, gets about 22 percent of its sales from Apple, according to supply-chain data compiled by Bloomberg

Update :

BGR confirmed more reports when they received more snaps about iPad 3 which is slated to be released in March. From the data in the photos, which contain the output from an iPad 3 using a development and debug tool called iBoot, the model numbers are J1 and J2 (iPad3,1 and iPad3,2), and while DigiTimes reported this a few weeks ago, these two models are not different devices, just a single iPad available in two versions — one with Wi-Fi only and one with Wi-Fi and embedded GSM/CDMA/LTE for all carriers. Also included in the photos is, for the first time, confirmation of which processor Apple will be using in the iPad 3: an A6 processor with model number S5L8945X. For reference, the Apple A4 model was S5L8930X and the A5 is S5L8940X. The new processor will also apparently be a quad-core model, making the upcoming iPad 3 the fastest iOS device ever.

TheNextweb is reporting that Apple is in ‘crunch mode’ when it comes to lining up apps both to demonstrate on-stage and to show off in new advertisements for its third iPad and now it is now looking for apps that will show off the stunning quality of the iPad 3’s high-resolution Retina Display.Apple has been choosy in picking up apps and if you go by the history we saw during the launch of  iPad 2 Apple’s own Garage Band, iMovie and Photo Booth apps, while the recent ‘Let’s Talk’ iPhone event saw game title Infinity Blade 2 demoed in order to show off the graphics capabilities of the new iPhone 4S.There is also emphasis on graphics-oriented applications with high-definition assets, which appears to be in line with the new iPad featuring a ‘Retina’ display.

So to sum up what you can expect in iPad 3 — faster processor a quad core, Retina Display, larger battery and a new camera same basic size and shape, with possibly a dash and sprinkle of 4G LTE.
