Switch to Google DNS easily with Google DNS Helper

GoogleDNS helper Switch to Google DNS easily with Google DNS Helper

Recently Google made available their public DNS namely Google Public DNS in a way to boost the web surfing rate than using openDNS.I have been using Google DNS with ip set to 8.8.8.8 and i found it a bit faster than openDNS.But in case you are not satisfied with the Google DNS you would need to go manually and then update the dns address. That could turn to be frustrating at times. To solve this Ganesh Prashannah developed a C# application(requires .NET framework) to automatically change the dns settings, in case you are not satisfied with Google DNS.

The app name is Google DNS Helper. What this app does is it stored your current dns address and in case you need to shift Google DNS then you would just need to hit the button named “Switch to Google DNS” and the ip is automatically changed to Google DNS ip i.e 8.8.8.8 from your current set DNS.If you are not satisfied with Google DNS then you can click the button Restore DNS to set back to old DNS.How simple it is !
