I don’t know how many users are fan of Slider phones,I am kinda sceptical about them.Nokia has launched the uber-sleek 6600i Slide in India, which features a 2.2-inch TFT screen (16 million colours, 240×320 pixels), a 5 mega pixel camera along with a dual LED flash and auto focus with an 8X zoom along with a accelerometer for ‘tap-to-mute’ and ‘tap-for-time’ features.

What’s this feature all about is, when you get a call, you can mute the ringing sound by double-tapping on the display when the phone is closed. You can reject the same incoming call by double-tapping again on the display. Similarly, you can display the clock by double-tapping the phone’s screen when it’s idle.

Video recording is kinda mediocre,as it can shoot VGA resolution, at 15 frames per second.Only thing that fails me is the internal storage memory is just 20MB and that could make the phone go dead slow.It comes with a 1GB microSD card which can be upto expanded to 16GB.Other features of the 6600i Slide include 3G and EDGE connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, stereo FM radio, Flash Lite 3.0, Nokia Maps ( no GPS on the phone) and microUSB port.Supports formats such as MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+ and WMA, and video player supporting 3GP, and MPEG4.

In addition to only VGA video recording,  it has battery back up of only 4 hours.With these the price comes to around 13-14k INR.I don’t think many would love with the battery back up.What do you feel ?
