RIM and Verizon Wireless have announced the availability of BlackBerry Curve 8530 smartphone, which combines full QWERTY keyboard, touch-sensitive trackpad, Wi-Fi, 3G connectivity and external multimedia buttons in a single device, running new BlackBerry OS 5.0 that brings a variety of improvements.

Features Of BlackBerry Curve 8530
- 2.4-inch TFT screen with 320 x 240 pixels resolution
- 2 megapixel camera with zoom and video recording
- 256 MB of flash memory and 528 MHz processor
- 3G-enabled (EV-DO), Bluetooth version 2.1 and Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g)
- Built-in GPS with support for location-based applications, including geotagging pictures and Verizon Wireless’ VZ Navigator service
- Advanced media player for music, pictures and videos, plus dedicated media keys and standard 3.5 mm stereo headset jack
- BlackBerry Media Sync makes it easy to quickly sync music from your computer to the smartphone
- Access to e-mail and messaging (IM, SMS, MMS), as well as popular social networking sites including Facebook and MySpace
- Support for BlackBerry services with access to up to 10 supported e-mail accounts, including most popular ISP e-mail accounts like Yahoo!, Windows Live Hotmail, AOL and Gmail
- Support BlackBerry Enterprise Server, and BlackBerry App World for instant access to thousands of applications
- microSD/SDHC memory card memory slot for expandable memory
BlackBerry Curve 8530 is slated to be available through Verizon Wireless starting November 20 for $99.99, after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new 2-year service contract.In addition to Verizon Wireless, Sprint is also scheduled to debut BlackBerry Curve 8530 soon.
