Opera’s latest mobile browser has arrived, with a beta version of Opera Mini 5 now available for Java phones and Black Berries.I always liked Opera Mini whenever i used to browse from my phone.Opera has now moved one step ahead and moved into Opera 5 Beta.Opera’s new mobile browser adds tabbed browsing, a speed dial option for faster bookmarking, an improved interface for better keyboard and touch control and a password manager.
Opera’s aim is for your mobile internet browser to mimic the way you how your surf the net on your desktop pc.What Opera mini does is it compresses images and stuff before its being sent to your phone so your page will load faster.
Key features of Opera Mini 5 include:
- New, sleek design: The look has been changed as compared to the older 4 version and now the latest version has a super cool look which makes you feel comfortable while you browse through web.
- Tabbed browsing:This is one awesome feature i love as i frequently use tabbed navigation in my fire fox as well as opera. The tabs show a thumbnail of the website opened and you can close the tabs with the close button.
- Password manager: Opera remembers your password credentials so that you don’t need to login again and again.
- Inline text editing: Within the page, you can select anything and copy or paste, and also can search within a page.
- Copy-and-paste function: The copy/paste option is also newly introduced in the Opera Mini 5 beta!
