Recently Nokia has been in the limelight when they launched Nokia Booklet 3G mini lappy, today they have come out with one more gadget namely the N900.I had posted about it a few days back in my previous posts. Now what’s this N900 and what features it comes with. This is one awesome gadget you can flaunt on unlike the overhyped N97.Nokia never gave that punch what users expected in the handsets in the later half of 2009.It’s powerpacked with high speed and power. It runs on Linux-based Maemo(aka Maemo5 Debian based) as its OS.It is the first Maemo 5 based Internet tablet and the successor to the Nokia N810 Internet tablet.

It’s got a 3.5-inch resistive WVGA (800 x 600) screen,slide-out QWERTY keyboard,an ARM Cortex-A8 processor,1GB 256 MB of ram(the ram is not 1gb its 256MB of RAM with 768MB of virtual memory) and is crammed with 32GB of internal memory with a MicroSD slot for expansion upto 48GB,built-in A-GPS,an FM transmitter,a 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens,OpenGL ES 2.0 graphics acceleration,Bluetooth with A2DP a 3.5mm jack and a gajillion-band cellular radio, including,support for T-Mobile’s 1700MHz slice of the spectrum.

This gives awesome fast internet connectivity with 10/2 HSPA and WLAN.You wont need to install any apps for browsing. Why ? Coz,it comes with inbuilt Mozilla browser probably Fennec powered by the Mozilla engine.N900 runs on a Nokia BL-5J battery with 1320 mAh capacity so that you don’t run on battery. It also comes with full Adobe Flash 9.4 support and plays the Xvid videos.Video recording is up to 848 × 480 pixels (WVGA) and up to 25fps.

The Nokia N900 will be available in selected markets from October 2009 and the estimated retail price of Nokia N900 is EUR 500 or 34,850 INR. The Nokia N900 will be displayed at the Nokia World, Stuttgart, on September 2.After looking at the price i feel i can one more laptop at that price, definetely not cheap as you can expect. You can check out videos from youtube below.
