Adult content coming from explicit.bing.net

Microsoft has been concentrating more on the safe search and smart motion preview feature. This is the first step by Microsoft to provide safe search experience when using Bing for large enterprises, local school districts or parents etc. Some changes have been made like potentially explicit images and video content will now be coming from a separate single domain,explicit.bing.net.That doesn’t mean that when you search explicit content it will display NSFW images it just directed to Bing website.

This makes it much easier for filtering software to block unwanted content if SafeSearch has been turned off.Source URL information will now be returned in the query string for images and video content.Companies that want to filter adult content have it much easier now. A single domain makes it much easier for customers at all levels to block adult content regardless of what the SafeSearch settings might be, and the extra URL information will be useful to companies who already use this method of filtering.

So companies don’t need to have softwares like Cyberoam to block explicit content by adding the keywords.BTW even without SafeSearch settings and without company or government filtering, Microsoft blocks sexual content in 12 of the 58 regions on Bing.Experienced user will know where to search explicit content and won’t go to search in Bing for explicit content.
